Our TeACHERS

nicky pindar

Hi, I'm Nicky — a devoted follower of Christ, wife to my wonderful husband Connor, and blessed mother to two precious children. Our family is rooted in faith, simplicity, and a love for living as close to God's natural design as possible. We embrace a slow and quiet life, one focused on the full nourishment of our minds, bodies, and spirits.

Whether through a home-cooked meal, a heartfelt conversation, or peaceful rhythms of daily life, my heart is to create a space where my family — and others — can thrive in grace and truth.

My background is as multifaceted as the life I lead, with experience in education, the hair and beauty industry, nutrition, and the wedding world. These diverse experiences have shaped the way I care, create, and connect — blending creativity, knowledge, and a servant's heart.

Here, you’ll find reflections on natural living, spiritual encouragement, wellness, homemaking, and more — all shared with gentleness and intention.

Welcome to this quiet corner of my life.

rachel o’roark

Hi, I’m Rachel!

The Lord has richly blessed me with a devoted husband, 3 sweet children and a rich community here in middle TN. Nature school was a huge answer to prayer last year as I wrestled with how I wanted to enter into homeschooling. I desired a kid led experience that fosters the love of learning all children have. God’s creation as the backdrop to our adventures truly soothes the soul and body, and regulates our chronically fast pace of life. These were the things most important to me that I’m so grateful to have found in this environment!

My background includes a wide variety of jobs since I was a teenager in many different industries. I found myself in a position to train and educate in most previous jobs spanning food service, retail, beauty and hair, etc - this has translated well to raising children and educating from home. Giving of my time, resources, and knowledge are at the heart of who God made me to be. I’m so blessed to be doing it in this season of life here at Parham Schoolhouse!

Tessa Buettner

Hi, I’m Tessa and I’m humbled to be a part of this school as a “teacher”.

I come from a long background in education, specifically in speech and language therapy, ranging from private clinics, in-home therapy and placement within schools in the greater Los Angeles area. This experience has left a love for seeing the educational growth of children of all ages and learning abilities.

I get to call myself a wife, mother, and a follower of Jesus. I choose daily to live authentically in all I do. I found myself in Tennessee in April of 2025 and I’m so happy to be here. Living seasonally, close to the earth, leaning into the biological design of things and cultivating a joyful, intentional space for my boys and others around me are all things I strive for daily.

Getting to serve both women and children are my joys. In 2021, I began working as a doula in Los Angeles and have carried on that calling here in TN.

I believe all my choices have led me here and I couldn’t be more stoked for it!

Amanda Bague

Hi! I'm Amanda, but you can call me Ms. B.

Wife to my best friend, Christopher, mama to three of my favorite people, and most importantly a follower of Jesus. God is so good to have blessed me with this opportunity to teach in a setting that not only allows me to teach in the ways I've always believed to be best for the child, but encourages it! I've always desired a forest school setting that allows kiddos to roam, explore and have the unique freedom to simply enjoy being a child- here at Parham Schoolhouse, I believe that's what I've found.

Before having my own babies, I thrived as a preschool teacher for six years (ask my husband, I've been itching to find a way to combine motherhood with teaching ever since leaving). Through God's grace, teaching continues to bring out pieces of me that were always there- a goofy theatre kid perpetually making weird faces and singing songs- while also bringing out things I never knew were there- a love for art, a desire to be in the fresh air as much as possible, and more I discover every day. Truly, childhood is a beautiful time and as I teach and mother, I find myself embracing life like a child; my desire is to see each child here hold onto that childhood as long as possible.
